It’s been too long since Lions have been able to enjoy one another’s company, and Lions from Montreal and the greater Quebec region look forward to welcoming you to their charming and multicultural city next June.
Your LCICon 2021 experience will be filled with entertainment, an inspiring keynote from Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai, educational sessions and much more. Be sure to register online by January 8 to secure the discounted early bird rate.
Outside of our scheduled convention events, there is much to see and do in Montréal — from visiting the many shops and restaurants to exploring the city’s historic architecture and thriving art scene.
Speaking of art, acclaimed Canadian artist Randa Hijazi won a monument competition sponsored by the Lions of District U-1 with her piece entitled, “Lions, friends of the Environment.” You’ll be able to see this piece at convention before it’s moved to its permanent home in the city. Hijazi will also be creating and selling art pieces relating to our global causes, with proceeds benefitting LCIF — so be sure to take one of these memorable keepsakes home!
Unsure where to start exploring? MCI Canada is offering convention attendees an array of local tours to enjoy during their stay. Step back in time and stroll through Old Montreal on a walking tour. Enjoy an evening bus tour to three local microbreweries and sample their creations. Enjoy a day trip to discover the beauty of Quebec City. These are just a few of the tours designed for Lions and their guests. Visit the Tours and Attractions page to view the tour offerings available”.
We’re excited to see you in the beautiful city of Montréal! Keep an eye on LCICon News for more convention updates.
