Leos at LCICon

The 100th Lions Clubs International Convention will take place in Chicago IL, USA June 30 – July 4, 2017. LCICon offers Lions and Leos an opportunity to meet peers from around the world, experience exciting events like the International Parade and participate in seminars designed to address the unique interests of each member.

Special Events for Leos

Special Olympics - Leos "Mission: Inclusion" Unified Basketball Clinic, presented by NBA Great Sam Perkins

Date: Friday, June 30
Time: 13:00 - 15:30
Location: Quest Multiplex
Special Olympics and Leos play host to an exciting Unified Basketball clinic, presented by retired National Basketball Association (NBA) great Sam Perkins. At this inclusive basketball clinic, Special Olympics athletes and Leos will team up for an afternoon of skills testing, exercises and a game of Unified Basketball. Special Olympics and LCI will have photographs, raffle opportunities and global partnership materials on hand for all attendees. Shuttle transportation to and from the event is provided. No pre-registration required.

Leo Launch Party

Date: Friday, June 30
Time: 17:00 - 20:00
Location: McCormick Place South 105
Leos will have a blast at this space-themed kick off event. Enjoy great conversations with service-minded peers and listen to inspiring speakers. As we "launch" into a new century of service, this event will highlight the important role of young people.

Let's Play Different is a project developed by the Leos of Italy. This game is designed to teach young children about social integration with people who suffer from blindness, motor difficulties and cognitive impairments. 

Engaging Youth and Building the Future of Lions

Location: McCormick Place Campfire Stage
Interested in starting a campus club? A Lion will share his successes and failures in creating one of the largest and most successful campus clubs.

International Parade of Nations

Date: Saturday, July 1
Time: 9:00 Assembly
Location: W. Wacker Drive
Leos will march side-by-side and lead the Parade of Nations through the streets of Chicago.

European Leo Movement

Listen to European Leos talk about the uniqueness of the Leo movement within Europe and their service focus LEO4GREEN.

LCI Forward: Serving in a Changing World
